A year ago, I stumbled upon a YouTube video that listed forgotten metal songs. I got hooked on “Fever” by Tokyo Blade. The harmonies and melodies are too good to let them fade into obscurity, so I made a remix.

The original is by Archive. I first heard the song when the host of the German version of *I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here* passed away, and the show used it as background music for a tribute video. It was perfect for that purpose, since the original version is slow and sad. I always thought it had the potential for a more upbeat version, which is why I made this remix.

The Te Deum (H. 146) is by Marc-Antoine Charpentier. It is his best-known work. It owes its fame to the fact that the first eight bars of the prelude are used as the theme music for Eurovision. At one point, I used the intro to “We Will Rock You” as an opening because I like it as a rhythmic foundation. Later on, I had planned to incorporate “Ode to Joy,” but I ended up scrapping that idea.
